Why do you ask Canadians to take this extra step?

On July 1, 2014 Canada's CASL law came into effect. As a requirement of the law we cannot send our newsletters and emails to Canadians if they contain any form of advertisement or promotion unless that person "positively confirms" that they allow us to do that. This means we need our Canadians friends to specifically press a button that give us such permission.
